Boomer Affinity Group

Pretty much everyone experiences positive, life-affirming benefits from volunteering in our communities. And for Boomers, civic engagement helps to cultivate a greater sense of purpose and connection at a time in our lives when, perhaps, we most desire it. It could be that you, too, are increasingly positioned to give-back to your community more than ever before. And, it could be that you also feel confused about how to effectively and meaningfully do that. To assist you in finding your direction, focus and renewed identity through civic engagement, Hands On is convening this monthly Affinity Group for Boomers to come together to share with one another and offer mutual support. We will also present transformational tools and resources to help you find your way, deepening your understanding of yourself while creating a renewed and meaningful connection to the larger scheme of things. We anticipate that on-going participation in this group will bring to your life: support; empowerment; meaning & purpose; leadership & service opportunities; self-understanding and, connection to new friends and community! If this group is already full, please notify the Volunteer Leader of your interest. Once we have enough interest, we will begin a second group.
